Performance:
Stock Propellers out of the box from the manufacturer are at best Class II or Class III. With any kind of rotating machinery, the truer the propeller is, the smoother it will run.
Tuning a propeller to Class S or Class I specifications as opposed to Class II or III greatly decrease the possibily of vibration and can increase fuel efficiency and speed gain. A propeller with all the blades matched the same is much more efficient than if the blades were different. Variations between propeller blades cause vibrations which wastes horsepower. Also, with properly tuned props, there is less wasted shaft horsepower and less strain and stress on the engine(s). Matching a pair of propellers to I.S.O. tolerances will increase the efficiency of those propellers.
Computer Generated Reports:
The Hale MRI also produces benefits to the customer via understandable computer generated reports. We will show you the condition of your propeller before as well as upon completion of reconditioning by Bay Propeller. These reports will also be in our computer database so you will always have access to your propellers specifications so that any future repairs will be to the same standards.
